Samantha Derifield, Registered Dental Hygienist
Samantha Derifield was raised in the Waterloo area and graduated from Hawkeye Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She has worked at Adel Family Dentistry for 10 years. Samantha lives in Adel with her husband Joe, and their sons Andrew, Jacob, and Samuel.
Samantha's hobbies include reading, quilting, and watching movies.
Samantha has been a volunteer for several years with the Special Olympics Special Smiles program providing dental screenings for the Special Olympic athletes during the summer games in Ames. She also provided dental screenings at back to school events.
Ali Baker, Registered Dental Assistant
Ali Baker attended Des Moines Area Community College for her Dental Assistant training and graduated in 2009. Ali had been a patient of Dr. Sedars and during her final semester of schooling she asked if she could participate in an clinical rotation at our office. We were delighted to have her join our team permanently after her graduation. Ali grew up in Redfield and currently lives in Earlham.
Erin Sedars, Office Manager
Erin graduated with a BS in Biology from St. Ambrose University in 1999. Before moving to Adel, Erin worked in medical research at the University of Iowa where she met Kelly.
Erin has been the Office Manager at Adel Family Dentistry since October 2003. In 2008, she completed her requirements to become a registered dental assistant. She enjoys working in a small town and being able to personally know the patients and their families. She especially enjoys seeing how excited most children are to visit the dentist.
Erin was raised in Cascade, Iowa. Her parents, John & Katie, are both school teachers in Cascade. Erin has 2 sisters, Angela & Molly, and 2 brothers, Brendan & Matthew.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys reading, traveling, Hawkeye football games, and spending time with her family and dogs Basie & Duke.
